Tinker Stay & Play offers unique baby play sessions for babies and toddlers set in a beautiful, open plan, curiosity-focused environment. Our space is perfect for sensory play, featuring comfy seating and great coffee for the adults. We also host exciting birthday parties for babies and toddlers on weekends, along with engaging toddler play sessions.

We Offer Stay & Play Sessions and Parties

Our Stay and Play sessions provide a unique play experience for you and your little ones, featuring a spacious open-plan area divided into two sections ideal for both soft play and sensory play. This environment has been thoughtfully designed so you can easily keep an eye on your child while they engage in various activities. Your ticket grants you and your child access to all areas, making it perfect for baby play or toddler play sessions. Please note that there are age and ability requirements to consider, especially if you're planning a birthday party.

How Does It Work?

Tinker is divided into two sections, ‘Tinker in Comfort’ and ‘Tinker in the Wild’. These areas are designed to enhance baby play and sensory play experiences. They are separated by a low fence, with a gate allowing easy entry or exit from Tinker in the Wild, making it ideal for birthday parties and toddler play sessions that encourage soft play.

Tinker in Comfort

Suitable for ages 0-4, our cosy carpeted play area offers a perfect environment for baby play and sensory play with open-ended natural and sensory resources for your child to ‘tinker’ with. The space features a large sand pit and a sensory den, filled with plenty of monochrome elements to delight babies. Children can explore, roll, build, pour, create, and wonder with an exciting collection of old and new materials. Additionally, we provide plenty of comfy sofas and seats for feeding (and relaxing) during toddler play sessions or even a birthday party.

Tinker in the Wild

Suitable for children aged 18 months to 4 years, this space is perfect for confident walkers. Parents should be aware of small parts as your toddler gears up for a variety of imaginative play opportunities in their puddle suit and wellies! With wood chips underfoot, explore over 12 different stations designed for independent play, reminiscent of those found in nursery or preschool settings.


Your little one can engage in sensory play at their own pace, with five stations featuring elements of water, making puddle suits and wellies essential. (Please remove these when entering Tinker in Comfort.) Alternatively, feel free to borrow one of our waterproof aprons available in various sizes.


And don’t worry, there are still cozy spots to enjoy your coffee while watching your child engage in soft play and toddler play sessions in the wild!
